How to Export Ticket Summary to Excel Spreadsheet 

Purpose

There are instances when you want to export tickets that are in Ticket Summary to a report or Excel Spreadsheet. The purpose of this article to provide step by step instructions on this process. 

 

Procedure & Visuals

  1. On the Navigation Menu, click on Tickets.

  1. Under the Tickets Menu, click on Ticket Summary.

 

  1. While on the Ticket Summary screen, select the tickets that you want to include in the report by selecting the box in front of the ticket number.

(The agent can select the word all if wanting to include all of the tickets.)

  1. Click on “Select an action to perform”.

 

  1. Under Exports, select “Export Ticket Summary to Text File” (if the customer wants all the tickets in Ticke Summary).

Select “Export Selected Tickets to Text File” (if the customer wants only the selected Tickets).

  1. Tickets will appear under Analytics>Exports (Greater than 250). Downloads (Less than 250 tickets)

Export from Text File to Excel Spreadsheet

Text File 

  1. Open the Text file.
  2. Under the Edit menu, select “Select All” or Ctrl+A.
  3. Under the Edit menu, select “Copy” or Ctrl+C. 

Excel Spreadsheet

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Click New.

  1. Click Blank Workbook. 

  1. From the menu select Data.

  1. Under Data, select from Text/CSV.

  1. Select the text file.

  1. Click import.

 

  1. The Text file will appear and will be converted to an Excel Spreadsheet, Select Load.

  • Note- select Ctrl+V and paste onto the blank workbook.
