The Optimized Routing feature in the Irth mobile app helps field teams plan smarter, work more efficiently, and get more done with the same resources. By streamlining task sequencing and routing, this feature supports:
- Reduced fuel consumption
- Lower vehicle wear and tear
- Minimized labor and travel times
- Overall reduction in operational costs
This functionality leverages Esri mapping and enhanced prioritization logic to determine the most efficient path for completing selected tasks.
How to Use Optimized Routing
You can optimize your route in just three simple steps:
1. Select Tasks & Tap 'Get Route'
Tap the ellipses […] in the top right corner and choose Select Tasks. Use either Select All or tap the individual radial buttons to choose the tasks you want to complete. Then tap Get Route to generate your initial route plan.
2. Tap “Optimize Route”
Once the route is displayed, tap the ellipses […] again and choose Optimize Route. This will automatically reorder your tasks based on the most efficient travel sequence.
3. Navigate Using Directions
Tap the first task in your optimized list, then tap […] > Directions. This will launch your device’s default navigation app with turn-by-turn directions. Repeat for each subsequent task as needed.
