Rename Registration Codes


Purpose/Overview

This article explains how to rename a registration code in Irth UtiliSphere. The process is quick and straightforward, but requires the appropriate permissions. 


Key Benefits/Use Cases:

  1. Renaming registration codes allows organizations to keep system data current and aligned with evolving business structures, naming standards, or project identifiers, without needing to delete or recreate records. This supports cleaner data management and easier reporting.

Things to Know:

  • Permissions: Only users with admin-level access can rename registration codes.

  • Your user role needs to have permission to edit registration codes.


To access this feature, go to Utilisphere > System Management > Administration > Ticket Management > Registrations


How It Works:

Navigate to the Registration Section

  1. From the System Management menu, go to the Registrations area.


Rename the Registration Code

  1. Click the Rename Registration Code option.
  2. A text field will appear where you can enter the new name.
  3. Important: The name cannot be blank or contain only spaces. If you attempt to save with an empty or invalid name, you will receive an error.


Save the New Name

  1. Enter the desired registration code name (e.g., PVA).
  2. Click Save to apply the change.

Confirm the change

  1. Navigate to the Registration Code Summary.
  2. In the Registration History, you will see the action logged as Rename Registration Code, confirming the change has been made.
