Facility Locations & Responsibility Areas

Modified on Wed, Apr 2 at 5:12 PM

Overview:

Facility locations and responsibility areas help define and visualize geographic areas and manage accountability within your organization. These elements interact with map definitions, enabling enhanced automated processing of tickets and tasks.

Facility Locations:

Facility locations represent geographical sites containing assets you aim to protect. Facility locations can be used by the system to identify a ticket's dig site location and whether the dig site touches a buffered facility location.

Responsibility Areas:

Responsibility areas identify geographic zones managed by specific personnel or teams.

**Indicating that an area or location is 'not in use' in the Map Definitions will visually distinguish these geographic areas from those which are active and in-use.

   Functionality and Use:

Facility Location

  • Ability to identify if Dig Sites interact with protected and mapped assets.
    • Facility locations can be processed by auto processing rules (Auto Response).
    • cannot be used for any other types of auto processing.
